Transparent House creates a tribute to an object of their 80's youth: the compact cassette tape.
Their new design represents sleek table lamps made of translucent and colored tapes.The small lamp is made of answering machine tapes and the larger model is built from compact cassettes in different shades. The lamps use non-heated, neon lights. All cassettes are in their cases.

Fifty years ago, General Motors called its high-tech concept cars "Dream Cars." Most of them, like a turbine-powered car that looked like a jet airplane, remained just that—a dream. Today's high-tech dream cars are rooted in much more practical concerns, especially fuel efficiency and weight savings, which were not on the pop-culture radar in the 1950s.

Casa Kike is a small scheme punching way above its weight. Too many schemes get lost in second thoughts. Here success is dependent on the absolute simplicity of the initial diagram and a refusal by the architect to over-complicate it. Two buildings, each a parallelogram, are orientated so their sides are parallel to the boundaries of the site.

The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology merges the concepts of lighting and art with this spectacular 3D LED piece,Created for the institute's 150th anniversary, the display is made up of 25000 lightballs.it can display 16 million colours per second. The behemoth, which weighs 3.3 tonnes, is currently displayed at the Zurich train stations main hall, where it will live until September 2009.

Designer Alexei Mikhailov was inspired by the iPhone's design, churning out the iStick concept as the perfect mobile convergence device. With such a small screen size, this definitely isn't meant for movie viewing nor photo browsing, but it does visually replicate the iPhone/Touch space within a device the size of a lipstick tube.
