Yanick was acutely aware from the outset that contemporary life had become global and that he couldn't remain ensconced in his familiar world. At the age of 16, this young artist started his apprenticeship of the world which would lead him to such places as Spain (Aranda de Duero), France (with several subsequent and prolonged stays in Paris), Western Canada (Vancouver), the United States (Miami and especially New York, a hub where he is often invited to visit on professional grounds), the Dominican Republic, Cuba and, most recently, Mexico.
