Is this seat taken?
The seating element started life as an art school project to design a new form of seating.
What if this icon become's someting real, life size, something you can touch, sit or relax on.
Imagine a public space (park, field,.....) with fifty someting seats on it. You could ask yourself, are these seats already taken or are they not?
It could be used as indoor as well as outdoor furniture.

Via Designboom
Zaha Hadid furniture exhibited in New York
The collection, manufactured by London-based design company Established & Sons, features nine designs, each made of painted polyester resin and produced in limited editions of between six and twelve pieces.
Five of the pieces - called Serif - are shelving designs. The other pieces are Nekton, a cluster of four stools; a lounge chair called Gyre; a chaise called Crest and a cabinet called Swash. Prices for the pieces range between $17,100 and $104,500.

Obelisk
The essentially rectangular forms that make up the body of this piece, have striking angular facets, while the hole thing has a pronounced tilt and is slightly elevated on broad, sturdy formed steel legs.
The generous size, method of construction, and excellent ergonomics provide superb comfort and personal space in both the chair and sofa.
Loopty Loop Loopita
A fabulous concept in on-floor seating that has been designed by a chap called Victor Aleman. The best bit about this, though, is that if you fit a bunch of them together then it looks like Scalextric for the posh. Made of a single piece of red oak and covered with high-density foam it will no doubt be off-the-scale expensive.

Aphrodite
If you interpret them poetically they enwomb something, nurture and as if giving birth bring if forward. They have femininity about them, like Aphrodite whose body carried Eros. The form of a beautiful woman with winding hips, like those found in a Botticelli painting, as an Drawer creates a refined functionality. Moreover, the removal of the side panel from the shelves further expresses the gracefulness of the female posture.

In these contrasts between classicism and modernity, Showtime reflects what had always been the very essence of Bd.
MOORE
MOORE, an armchair with a swivel seat, is a sculpture with a living and enveloping form that immediately makes it an icon. Due to the special properties of this lacquer, it can be used both indoors and outdoors.

Papton chair

Simple as a paper plane:
A few foldings transform a composite panel into a real lightweight chare of 2kgs only. A couple of polygons create a clear, graphic unity.
LittleBig

A three-dimensional curved multi-ply wood unit construction seat with tubular steel cantilever structure. The body is only connected to the structure at the front; the seat therefore remains hanging in a void, combining superior comfort with a surprising aesthetic effect. This solution is made possible by the innovative three-dimensional curving technology of the multi-ply wood, which enables complex curves to be obtained, combined with the extreme rigidity and toughness of the product, thanks to a special system for the composition and processing of the wood sheets.
Littlebig looks like a formal chair with a high back, but with the comfort of an ergonomic seat. The tubing runs up beyond the height of the body, creating the visual effect of a high back, but the wooden body remains lower and ergonomically correct.
The body is available in recompounded oak in the whitened and open-pore asphalt black painted variants or in the version padded and covered in the fabrics and leathers of the Baleri Italia collection. The structure is available in the opaque chromed finish.
